Addicted to Steve and DC- WHAT

Well, in about an hour Gloria, Jeremiah, and I are making the wretchedly long trip down to Mt. Carmel.  This weekend our church is hosting a True love waits weekend.  I am excited to go home and just be involved with the ministry that is already growing there.  There of course is a band playing and a speaker coming. The speaker is actually getting to go into the schools and talk about sexually purity.  Which reminds me, this morning as most morning I was listening to the Steve and DC show on 1011 the River.  Which if you didn't know, I am addicted to that show. I have actually read a bio on Steve and He proclaims to know the Lord, so that is always exciting.  Anyway Steve and DC were appalled by a situation with a dad and his son.  The son is 15 years old and the dad who is divorced, allowed the son to have his 14 girlfriend spend the night.  The mom of the 15 year old was out raged of course....but the dad thought that it was okay.  Steve and DC really took a stand on not allowing the teenagers to do this sort of thing.  Yet, most of the callers agreed with the dad and said that it was okay, "That they would rather have the kids in their house having sex, than somewhere else."  Wow, really makes you think about what morals are prevailent in today's society.  So...please pray for this weekend...I am excited about what the Lord is going to do...Peace out, girl scout!!!

Everything has been crazy since the wedding.  I am working full-time in the Records office at MBU which is kinda cool.  I always feel as if there is more and I can't wait to get out of this little bubble, yet I know the Lord has Brandon & I in this area for a reason.  Brandon is searching for a teaching job and may have found one.  I just pray that we don't get comfortable in our lives here.  Hope to hear from you soon.  I will try to keep this more up to date, even though I know I have made this promise before.  Chow!

Okay, I know this is informal, but I want to let you guys know that you are invited to Brandon and I's wedding. The date is January 28th at 3:00.  The wedding is in Mt. Carmel.  That is about 2.5 hours from St. Louis and 2 hours from Louisville.  Here are the directions- from St. Louis- Take 64 east for about two hours.  Take exit 130 (Mt. Carmel/Carmi exit) Turn left and drive another 20 minutes or so.....When you get in Mt. Carmel stay on 3rd street and go through one light, turn left on Chestnut street and go until 6th street.  The church is on the corner of 6th and Chestnut.  From Louisville, the directions are the same only you take 64 west.  Also, if you are coming from Louisville, you might find a faster way if you go through Evansville and interstate 41, but you might want to get those directions from mapquest, b/c I am not sure.....Anyway, let me know if you can make it.  It should be a good time and I would love to have all of you there...Until then...

According to my count only 27 days until CHRISTMAS!! I can't believe it.  I enjoyed a nice little thanksgiving break and actually got to go home for more than just 2 days.  The Lord really blessed me.  Thanksgiving was normal, just hanging out with family and getting to spend some quality time with them.  I love just getting to sit around and talk, cook, and play games.  One night I got to dress up my little cousin in all my old prom dresses and she put on a little show for us.  It was so cute.  Don't you miss the days when you were young, innocent, and cared only of playing games and being CRAZY!  But now, I have to think about bills, plans, jobs, oh geez, the joys of growing up.  I have been enjoying all the christmas music and the lights.  I love Christmas, I love celebrating Christ's birth, giving, and just being around family and friends.
